Mr. Martinez
My success as a retailer isn’t driven solely by my love for beautifully designed clothes.
While my chosen path has led me to opportunities, experiences and wonderful women that I hold sacred with great joy, my success holds a higher purpose: To serve others.
My parents were missionaries who moved my siblings and and I every every few years to take on new assignments where help was needed. My mother was the epitome of a woman who walked and talked what she believed and she worked extremely hard while doing so. She was kind and generous, and she loved everyone unconditionally, regardless of their circumstances. I I made it my mission to ensure my mother always look lovely — I dressed her for church and every important outing. And might I say, she always looked amazing.
In the years following her death, I’ve made it my personal charge to live as my mother did. It’s been a privilege to work alongside design icons, as well as my wonderfully broad community of women to raise funds to fight aids, hunger, and domestic violence, as well as struggling adolescents and families during the critical phase of a medical crisis…and we’re just getting started.
I’m grateful for what’s been and all that will be,
Here’s to the next 35 years!
